Consultation
In 2019 we met with local community groups and held a public exhibition of the plans for a new hotel; over 100 people attended this event. We invited residents to share their views on the initial proposals. 62% of residents supported the scheme and we have responded to feedback wherever possible to improve the application even further. We have revised the proposals with a fresh, new plan following feedback to deliver much needed hotel space and homes to Eltham.
We recognise that there is a high level of interest in the local community given the previous application brought forward. As such, we are committed to engaging with the community ahead of the submission of this application to ensure residents are informed and have an opportunity to give feedback.

- Some neighbours said that the building was too tall.
- Some neighbours raised concerns about the overall level of traffic due to the development’s size.
- The local school expressed concerns about overlooking their playground from the hotel.
We did
- We have reduced the building from a maximum of 7 storeys to 5 storeys.
- We have reduced the number of hotel rooms from 63 to 35 and the number of new homes from 9 to 7.
- Special screens have been designed to ensure there is no direct overlooking of the school.
